Designer Bathrooms
When we use the word bathroom we are specifying a full bathroom setup. That is; bath, sink and toilet minimum - although technically the word only means a room with a bath. Baths themselves were first used around 3000 BC, created in most of the civilised world they were believed to purify the body and soul. Around the same time sewage systems were being tested out in some parts of the world. Both of these were seen as communal elements and were featured outside, not qualifying as a full bathroom.
The Roman Empire solidified what bathing and toilet needs were taking the best of what went before them, a place of public bathing and socialising. This frame of mind lasted nearly 2000 years until the 16th Century when bathing became a more and more private event, and with indoor plumbing becoming commonplace around the mid 20th Century, the bathroom as we know today was created.
As for designer bathrooms; well even the ancient empires decorated their bathrooms, especially for the rich. Today a designer bathroom can encompass so many elements, from the bath, to taps, flooring, tiling, toilet, radiator and so much more. Anything that can go in the bathroom can be simple and functional or stylish and unique, even the space and flow of the bathroom can be modified to create a rich relaxing place.
Some of our own garden annexes come with bathrooms which use Hansgrohe products. For your own personal place, please consider the following suppliers and manufacturers specifically selected by Decorated Shed.
