'Occassional' homeworkers travel furthest
A study* into the business travel habits of the country's homeworkers has found that those who work at home around once a month travel on average the furthest for work annually, clocking up 7800 miles a year. This category of homeworkers - known as 'occassional' - accounts for around 5% of the UK’s total number of professionals working from home.
The same study revealed that around two-thirds of occasional homeworkers could do their job entirely at home, underlining the environmental savings that could be achieved by cutting out unnecessary daily business travel.
Garden offices are a fantastic option for anyone working from home, either occasionally or regularly. Decorated Shed’s range of garden offices provide a sanctuary where you can dedicate your mind to focusing on work, without any of the distractions of the home. When its time to finish work you can leave everything in your office, freeing up your time for relaxing after hours.
