Top 5 Green Camping Tips for Glastonbury 2010

By Dawn Kubicek on 21st June, 2010
If you are attending the festival this year which starts this Wednesday 23rd June, have you thought about the effects camping has on the environment? By making small changes your stay can leave the environment in a better state for years to come.
Decorated Shed garden studios support all green issues and the environment where ever possible.
Here are five tips in making your Glastonbury camping stay a little greener:
- Do not leave your rubbish, try to find a bin or take it with you
- Utilise wood already on the ground to make a fire
- Do not dispose or use of toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste and soap as they contain unnatural chemicals which can harm the environment. If there are onsite areas to wash, use your toiletries there.
- Do not leave your tents and radios - take them with you even if they are broken!
- If you haven't yet bought your tent, a canvas tent is the new kind of low-impact camping. Visit Soulpad canvas bell tent and similarly Belltent.
Enjoy Glastonbury if you are attending!
