The Choice of Wood Cladding for Your Garden Office

By Andrew Tweddle on 4th January, 2012
There are many different elements, both large and small, that go into making a Decorated Shed garden office. The exterior wood cladding is just one of these elements, but it is a very important one, because it is both a vital part of the overall structure, as well as a big part of the aesthetic feel of every garden office.
First of all, when investing in a Decorated Shed garden office, there are three potential types of exterior cladding to choose from. These are Western Red Cedar, Larch and Thermowood. These are all perfectly suitable for each garden office, but all have their own separate qualities and benefits. No matter which you choose, you will be safe in the knowledge that the raw materials are sourced from sustainable suppliers.
Western Red Cedar, for example, is attractive yet durable. Over a period of years, it undergoes a magnificent aging process, which creates a unique feature for your garden office. Larch is also very nice to look at, but is particularly durable and hardwearing, perfect for areas where constant high winds and heavy rain are prevalent. Thermowood, made from Redwood, is a heat-treated cladding that is low maintenance. It is particularly resistant against any shrinking or distortion.
All of the cladding available from Decorated Shed had a fantastic natural finish, but you may choose to give your garden office a coloured finish. You can choose from an array of colours, including striking black, grey, natural green and more. You can also choose between traditional and eco-friendly varieties of paint.
While each cladding from Decorated Shed is different, all are very high-quality and durable. During the process of choosing each element of your garden office you can get expert advice on what each type of cladding can offer, but your own personal taste in design will be the main factor of your choice. Whichever cladding you do choose, you will be safe in the knowledge that you will be left with a stylish and high-quality garden office to enjoy for many years to come.
