Sydney transforms waterworks ruins into incredible park

In todays garden design news, the city of Sydney has transformed a waterworks park into a new life turning it around into a beautiful park for the public. It really proves what is possible with space where design is concerned.

Designed by TZG Architects the new park was once a reservoir in the 1800's which slowly became a disused reservoir over the years.

Another exciting twist is that the park is situated below street grade as the park has preserved the original barrel vault roofs and trusses with a subtle weave of new materials and a dynamic design that frames the history of Sydney's growth into a metropolis.

The unique garden design represents the use of modern architecture to a level that can transform old, even unwanted spaces. Decorated Shed can completely change your garden no matter how small or large the space is into interesting garden offices and studios in a natural setting depending on your individual needs. It is important that your building matches its surroundings and your present architecture; looking like it is part of the environment.
