Switch to a garden office

By Matthew Thompson on 5th October, 2010
6.00am and many commuters are stirring in their beds to their alarm, their morning and evening ahead involves queuing, traffic or waiting for trains. Perhaps they will even have time for a quick half cup of coffee and bite of toast before rushing out of the door. This is a typical scene in many households across the country, and is a stark contrast to that of a person with a garden office. When their alarm goes off, they may even press the snooze button. There isn’t the mass rush most office workers experience; instead they may even have enough time for a relaxed cup of coffee, followed by a leisurely stroll to their garden office.
Owning a garden office gives you the opportunity to be flexible with your working hours, a chance not given to many office workers. You are in a garden building; a separate area from your house so ‘bringing your work home with you’ shouldn’t be a problem. Working from your garden office allows a more relaxed work style increasing productivity, as you are free from the distractions which are abundant in the home and office. Your garden office allows you to enjoy your home life more, as the pressures and tiredness from the early morning commute are gone at the end of the day, leaving you relaxed and refreshed. The time you save by not commuting to work is invaluable and can be spent on more important things than sitting in traffic. A dinner with the family, reading your current book or a relaxing chat with a loved one are all different options to travelling to work. Which would you prefer?
A Decorated Shed garden office may disconnect you with your home, but not the business world, as it is capable of having a separate work phone line and internet installed. The sustainable design is an inspiring place to work in and has a completely different atmosphere to that of an office block. Giving you enthusiasm for the day ahead, a garden office could be the refreshing twist your work life needs. Who wouldn't want flexible hours, a better home life and a relaxing 'commute' to work?
