Sustainable architecture for Public Sector buildings.

By Dawn Kubicek on 29th July, 2010
Public sector buildings can range from schools, music rooms, after school clubs and classes, and offices for governments, tax offices and councils.
These days we are seeing more and more public sector buildings, from around the world, which have been sustainably built for environmental purposes, taking future resources into consideration. It does make sense though, as larger buildings being used by a lot of people daily, year after year will benefit from energy efficient insulation and the use of recycled and eco building materials.
Helping create an environmentally sustainable future through our designs is in Decorated Sheds best interest, with becoming more aware of the benefits of the financial, social and environmental benefits of sustainable building. Looking after human well being and the future of our planet is something that needs to be taken into consideration.
High performance energy efficient buildings help the environment as well as helping with the cost of our energy bills to, which we will notice on a more frequent basis whether this is for a larger public sector building or one of our garden studios. Along with this the actual overall cost of the buildings will be a lot less than the traditionally built and will take less time to build.
High performance planted green roofing, energy efficient lighting, triple sealed and glazed windows and doors and solar panels for geothermal heating are some of the sustainable material choices Decorated Shed offer. Such materials can fluctuate the overall building cost but we will go to every effort to design and build the structure you want at a suitable price.
Our sustainable landscape design ideas and nature care includes preserving plants, original landscapes and wildlife habitats. Also the restoration of open, natural water cycles will improve surface water quality. Artificial lighting will be required in all our buildings, but maximizing the available day light through the design is taken in to consideration to. Small steps like these will benefit your overall build and keep the environment happy to.
A sustainable building today will help with our sustainable future tomorrow.
