Resources for Life

Resources for Life

By Dawn Kubicek on 24th June, 2010

Looking at sustainable designs and living I came across a brilliant website Resources for Life. It is a network resource for better living where people can contribute to the site and voice their views and ideas. The manager Gregory takes these views on board and publishes them as he kindly did for Decorated Sheds garden studios and included our sustainable architecture where we use recyclable resources where possible. These include, green roofs, recycled rubber or zinc and our Western Red Cedar used for the buildings is sourced from managed rain forests.

'Our mission is to holistically empower all people to achieve their greatest potential so they may cooperatively work together in bringing permanent healing and peace to the entire earth,' said Gregory.

The website also includes a separate section called 'small house society' which backs up our small home articles on the interest growing fast around America and now worldwide.

'Our desire is to support the research, development, and use of smaller living spaces that foster sustainable living for individuals, families, and communities worldwide' Gregory adds 'It's not a movement about people claiming to be "tinier than thou" but rather people making their own choices toward simpler and smaller living however they feel best fits their life,' Gregory adds.

Amazingly I came across a Resources for Life shop on the website as well, selling products like mugs, books and calendars.

I have never come across a website which includes so many diverse subjects that are all related. When i first looked at the site I did not realise its depth, which will be due to the amount of input and interest Gregory receives from viewers. Definitely a website to keep up to date with.
