Landscaping Design Style - Garden Buildings

By Steven Willis on 23rd August, 2010

Garden design has become an increasingly popular pastime here in the UK, and it's become easier than ever to express your personal style through your outdoor space. Landscaping features such as decking, terraces and patios are becoming commonplace, and once-scarcely seen garden structures such as gazebos, arbours and pergolas are also making their way into more and more of our gardens. This new-found focus on outdoor design has led to the garden becoming just as valued from a style perspective as any room in the house itself.

The landscaping design style trend has reached such a stage where the garden is no longer seen as a simple piece of land that is almost incidental to a house, it's now firmly viewed a space where personal expression can follow new and exciting directions.

One of the most effective additions to a garden, to increase both functionality and visual appeal, is a garden building. Whether it's in the form of an office, studio or annex, a garden building forms a focal point from which the rest of the garden can be styled.

Decorated Shed's garden buildings are developed to aesthetically integrate into the surrounding landscape, primarily through the use of Western Red Cedar cladding. The organic wood panelling provides a natural look that complements the overall greenery of a well-stocked garden.
