Insulation – the key to the year-round garden office

By Steven Willis on 1st December, 2010
One of the many things that sets a premium garden office aside from a cheaper alternative is the fact that you can use it all year round, in any weather. Choosing a lesser garden office is effectively limiting its potential, as it will likely lie abandoned and unused during the winter months. The reason that high quality garden offices offer this is of course because of their insulation. The insulation and energy efficiency levels packed into Decorated Shed’s garden office range are comparable and often in excess of those of traditional homes, meaning that they create an interior environment that’s comfortable whatever the outside temperature.
So, what makes Decorated Shed’s insulation so special? Well, it’s a combination of quality material choices, construction processes, craftsmanship and an attention to detail all working together to provide outstanding performance.
Our new redwood clad exteriors are specially treated with ‘thermo-wood’, and the core of the panellised walls are filled with rigid eco-therm insulation and a breather membrane. Doors and windows are fitted with ultra low energy loss 24mm glazing, which provide excellent heat retention.
