High Quality Garden Office has Year-Round Appeal

By Andrew Tweddle on 12th August, 2011
A garden office can be a glorious space to enjoy during summer days. However, we all know how unpredictable and, at times, just plain miserable the British weather can be, even in the middle of August. This is why having a garden office with excellent insulation is so important. At Decorated Shed, every garden office is made to a very high specification, which provides a comfortable temperature inside, whatever the weather outside.
To achieve this level of insulation, we use a number of different techniques during the build process of your garden office. First of all, there’s the choice to have ‘Thermowood’ panelling that offers excellent resistance to the elements. We also use a high quality insulation and ‘breather’ membrane, which adds to the protection against the outside temperatures, but is cleverly built in to the design of the building and in no way impacts on the usability.
Other aspects of the build that ensure temperature management is at the best possible level include the low energy loss double or triple glazing. There is also the option for the glass in the doors and windows to include an innovative heating system to further improve insulation. This can also be done with under-floor heating, which gives your garden office a truly cosy feeling on cold days.
So, when you’re considering getting a garden office keep these factors in mind. Choosing a different garden office, with poorer insulation levels, will inevitably mean it will be left empty during the winter months, or on particularly hot days. A Decorated Shed garden office offers a thermal K value of 0.023, which is much higher than that of the majority of competitors. This difference in insulation could be the difference between an office that you can only use at certain times and an office that is a year-round solution.
