Get healthier whilst working at a standing desk

How to green up your work space? By working at a standing desk!

Well this is what is reported in today's news, and yes it is hard to believe.

A vast majority of us spend most of our waking hours sitting at a desk, apart from those who work in more physically intensive trades. Recent studies have confirmed that sitting down too much is actually bad for your health, increasing the risks of obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes. The human body depends on exercise and movement to keep muscles in good form, keeping a high metabolism rate. Unfortunately the recent studies prove that spending nine or more hours a day sitting down can cause muscle degeneration and a decreased metabolism rate, which could both lead to life threatening health problems. So... standing up when you work can help defeat these problems.

The results also show how standing up whilst working can resolve body pains, increase energy, mental focus and concentration.
