The Garden Office for Pet Owners

By Steven Willis on 29th November, 2011
Many people are forced to abandon thoughts of owning a pet because of work commitments. Long spells away from the house can scupper any hope of keeping a dog or cat, due to the relatively regular attention that they require throughout the day. Working from home can offer something of an alternative to this dilemma, but often the presence of a friendly furry face in and around the workspace can prove to be an irresistible distraction. Combined with the other temptations on hand when working in the house – the TV and sofa among others – when working with a pet in the house, productivity levels can easily start to slip.
A garden office offers the ideal solution – providing a secluded and dedicated working area away from the house, but located literally seconds away from your pet. With a garden office you can work undisturbed just as in a regular office, but not have the inconvenience of distance between yourself and your dog or cat. As well as the obvious benefits for the pet, the owner will reap the rewards of working in a garden office. Pets can offer a therapeutic effect in lots of circumstances, not least at break times during the working day. A short stroll with a dog, or simply spending some time together – can work wonders in clearing the mind and refocusing for a productive session back at the garden office.
Pets can be wonderful additions to your life, and to deny yourself such an experience because of work is an avoidable situation with a garden office. Garden offices help to clearly define the work/life balance in all areas, allowing you to live a more rejuvenating, leisurely life at home and a more productive, effective life at work. Adding the presence of a rewarding pet into the equation and you’ll benefit even more from your garden office.
