Garden Gym Studios

Exercise plays a regular role in many of our lives these days, with the health dangers of a sedentary lifestyle so well known. It’s no coincidence that gyms have become such a popular place for people of all ages, as we try to keep in shape and feel better about our bodies, vitality and overall health. However, gym membership can be tying and expensive, with the regular financial outgoings not always tallying with the motivation throughout a typical month. With that in mind, many people are looking closer to home when it comes to gym sessions, and the market for home gym equipment has grown substantially in recent years.

The downside of this is the fact that exercise equipment is rarely designed to be used comfortably in a home environment. Rowing machines, treadmills, exercise bikes and cross training machines are excessively vigorous contraptions that generate a great deal of movement in vibrations as well as noise. Even those exercise accessories that don’t entail a mechanical or moving feature in themselves, such as weights benches, steps and punch bags all create their fair share of sound when in use. Along with the vibrations and noise, gym equipment is invariably bulky, heavy and hardly complements regular furniture in any room of the house.

It’s perhaps because of this reason that many home gyms are set up in the garage, in order to remove this disturbance from the house. While the garage might provide the physical space, it is invariably a multi-function room that provides storage for any number of household and garden items, meaning that the gym will be compromised somewhat. Also, it’s a rare garage that is designed to be a comfortable, light and pleasant place to spend time in.

Garden studios are the ideal solution for home gyms. Independent, self-contained spaces away from the house (and garage for that matter), garden studios provide a dedicated environment in which gym equipment can be comfortably used without any distracting effects. As well as being a fantastic place to house the gym equipment, a garden studio also offers an inviting and productive space to work out – light, airy, spacious and breathable.
