FSC timber

Wood is an incredibly versatile building material that brings a whole host of benefits, including all-weather durability and a stunning natural look that just gets better year after year.
Whenever buying timber it's important to ensure that your supplier uses only Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited materials. With FSC-accredited timber you can be confident that it has been sourced from sustainable and responsibly managed woodland. Whenever timber doesn't come with FSC accreditation, there is a possibility that it has its origins in illegal deforestation. Purchasing this type of timber directly contributes to climate change, as well as supporting unregulated trade in third world countries that causes socio-economic injustice and conflict in some of the world's poorest regions.
Along with the environmental and ethical safeguards that FSC accreditation signifies, the mark also stands for quality material.
That's why we have a strict FSC-only policy for all timber materials used in every Decorated Shed design. From the signature Western Cedar cladding to the wood flooring option and any other specified wood fixture and fitting, we're proud to say that we select only FSC sourced materials.
