Autumn is Here – Prepare for the Cold with a Garden Office

By Andrew Tweddle on 2nd September, 2011

Frankly, this summer was a big disappointment. We had about two weeks of sun that seemed to arrive in April, and since then there’s been just a few truly summery days in amongst the seemingly endless ‘grey’ days. However, summer is now officially over and September is here, and before we know it, so will winter. This shows that garden office needs a certain level of insulation; otherwise it will be useless in colder weather.

A Decorated Shed garden office can offer a very high level of insulation, giving a cosy feeling in the cold weather. It uses a specially designed wood paneling system, which allows for insulation to be installed directly into the main structure, without compromising on space or design. This gives every Decorated Shed garden Building a thermal K value of 0.023, much higher than that of our competitors. This means there is little need for heating or cooling at any time of the year.

However, if you do want that extra bit of warmth during the winter, there is always the option of under-floor heating. This little extra will make your new garden office feel even cosier, whether there’s snow or thunderstorms outside.

On top of this, there is the benefit of getting rid of a long commute to work if you start to work from home. As well as the financial gains, this means there will be no miserable mornings of standing in the cold at the bus stop. You can simply walk to the bottom of the garden and find yourself in a warm, comfortable environment, knowing at the end of the day that you can be back in your house in a matter of seconds.
