Where’s your sanctuary?

By Steven Willis on 18th October, 2010
We’ve all got a space at home where we know we can go for some downtime, to relax and simply get away from it all.
The garden represents this haven for many of us, with its close ties to nature and innate ability to promote relaxation with its sights, sounds and smells. However, the garden can become somewhat ‘out of bounds’ during the autumn and winter, with dropping temperatures and unpredictable weather. The bench or gazebo that represents a shady retreat where hours can be wiled away in the spring and summer becomes a definite no-go when it gets cold and wet outside.
A garden room enables the garden to be inhabited all year round, in all weathers and temperatures. The expansive glazing and bi-fold doors available on most Decorated Shed garden rooms creates an almost seamless flow between inside and out, meaning that you can experience the serene feelings of being in the garden, whilst remaining warm and comfortable inside. In fact, the placement of the building in the heart of the garden brings a unique experience when the weather takes a turn for the worst, with rain and snow storms providing a dramatic natural show that’s rarely enjoyed outside.
